Fall Fireworks
If I had come upon this tree during the middle of the summer, I probably would not have noticed it at all. It would have blended in with all the other tall green maples, oaks, and birches along the side of the road. Now, however, as the trees are daily changing their colors, this one stood out. Rather than the usual shape with smaller twigs branching out from the main branch, these seemed to shoot out on their own. At the tip the leaves shone with a riot of red even though the leaves farther down still held on to their summer green. The whole effect was like fall fireworks.
The changing of seasons is God's gift.
