Again-another post  from a year ago or more...

First, a preface: Earlier this spring, about fifteen moms gathered in my living room.  Most were from our home school co-op group, but I pulled in a couple close friends who aren't members.  We wanted to talk about high school and college options.  Nothing induces panic in a young/old/experienced/newbie home school mom like talking about algebra, AP tests, and the ACT.  And yet, with all the panic, it really was a wonderful evening on many levels.

In the process of sharing my heart about college (more about that in another post), I said, "If I had known how much I love research and sharing resources, I probably would have become a librarian rather than a teacher."  Most of my friends looked a little nervous, but I hastened to assure them I wasn't going to quit teaching at our co-op.  One lady sitting nearby quietly affirmed, "But you are our librarian."

By way of introduction to what I hope will be a regular occurrence here: I've been reading through A Million Little Ways by Emily Freeman.  She talks about the things that you do that make you feel free, that show God's glory through your unique gifts, by making art in "a million little ways."  I've determined that one of my "little ways" is through sharing resources that I have found and love.  As I stumble upon new books at the library that are beautiful and not twaddle, I hope to share them here.  Without further ado, here are my top picks from the past month (several years ago):
