Healthy Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe

Well, maybe not healthy, but certainly healthier…I’d post a picture, but they are all gone!  These come out soft, chewy, and not nearly as greasy as the recipe I had been using.  You could add nuts if you wanted.

  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 t baking soda
  • 1/2 t baking powder
  • 1 t salt
  • 1/2 cup butter softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 t vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup vanilla yogurt
  • 1 12 oz package semi-sweet chocolate chips
  1. Preheat oven to 375
  2. Combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a small bowl
  3. Beat butter, sugars, and vanilla until creamy
  4. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each.
  5. Add yogurt
  6. Gradually beat in flour mixture
  7. Stir in chocolate
  8. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  9. Bake for 9-11 minutes or until golden brown
  10. Cool (these are best the next day, but the gooey, right-out-of-the-oven ones aren’t so bad either!)

Makes 5-6 dozen depending on how rounded your tablespoons are!
