Yesterday produced a lot of quotable moments from my kids...
On telling about a game at VBS..."We had to put this circle thing around our waists and then sugar it around." (4 yo)
While trying to adjust the spraying wacky water sprinkler as clouds are moving overhead... "I think it's starting to rain." (10 yo)
On careers and marriage...
Sister:"When I grow up I want to be a cowgirl."
Mom: "Well, if you marry a cowboy, you can be a cowgirl. Or you can marry someone who has horses, but isn't a cowboy."
Sister: "But that's a problem."
Brother: "Why?"
Sister: "What if the man who asks me to marry him doesn't have horses?"
Mom: "Well, you'll have to decide whether you want horses or that man."
Sister: "But what if I don't know if he has horses? He'll ask me and then I'll have to ask him if he has horses before I say yes."
Mom: "Usually you know the person for a while before he asks you to marry him, so you should know whether or not he has horses."
Brother: "Yeah, it's not like some guy is just going to come up to you on the street and ask you to marry him and you'll have to ask if he has horses."
Sister: "I guess I just have to hope that the man I love also has horses."
